  • Half cup of fresh blueberries
  • 1 ripe banana (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of natural honey

How to Make it (recipe):

  • Put all the ingredients in a blender.
  • On medium setting blend them for 2-3 minutes.
  • You can add ice to make them more cold.

 

2. Buttermilk:

Buttermilk is the leftover water after churning butter from the cream. This by-product has soothing properties that can calm down irritated stomach and reduce burning sensation. It help alleviate pain and swelling cause by acid reflux.

Buttermilk also help treat burnt esophagus and aid in digestion. It is an excellent home remedy to treat gastritis symptoms. It taste like curd and minimize the side effect of eating spicy and oily foods.

You will need:

  • One glass of chilled buttermilk
  • 2-3 pinch of table-salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder

How to Prepare it:

  • In the glass of buttermilk mix the cumin powder and salt.
  • Stir them for a while so that all the ingredient are dissolved properly.

 

3. Coconut Water

Coconut water may stabilize the gastric acids in the stomach and provide relief from burning stomach. It help calm down irritated esophagus. Coconut water also contains proteins and digestive enzyme which is beneficial for treating overeating and bloating.

You will need:

  • Half cup of fresh coconut water

What to do:

  • Keep it inside freezer for 10 minutes.

4. Milk 

Milk is an alkalizing natural agent that help soothe burns. Though there is no scientific study backing this home remedy, the use of milk does help control heartburn and sour burping.   • One glass of cold milk
  • Honey (optional)
